Project Overview

Batter & Bliss is a home-based dessert business in Abuja selling custom pancakes and drinks. Before this, orders came through WhatsApp, Instagram, calls, and other channels—hard to track, easy to miss. We replaced that WhatsApp chaos with a way for customers to build your own order and a centralized order queue so the kitchen always knows what to prepare, pack, and deliver.

Problem

Orders lived in WhatsApp chaos—scattered across Instagram, calls, and chats—so things got forgotten or missed, especially when the owner was away. The kitchen had no single order queue, manual payment confirmation slowed everything down, and there was no clean way to limit orders or pause products. Box card messages were handwritten and easy to skip, while customers were stuck in back-and-forth chats with no clear confirmation.

Goal

Every order should land in one place, no matter how busy the day. Customers should build and place an order in minutes without messaging first. The kitchen should know exactly what to prepare, pack, and deliver, payments should be easy to verify, and the business should control menu availability and daily order limits without updating everyone by hand.

Solution

We made it so customers can build your own order—pancakes, toppings, extras, delivery, plus a box card message—cutting the chat loop. Every order enters one centralized order queue. Flexible payment options (pay online or bank transfer) let the owner accept or reject before cooking starts. The kitchen gets clear customizations, timing, and the box message; the business can open/close ordering, set daily order limits, and disable products. Orders are ready for a packing slip so fulfillment is faster with fewer mistakes.

Outcome

The team now runs every order from one dashboard instead of hopping between apps. Customers get a more professional ordering process, the kitchen spends less time organizing and more time preparing, and busy days are easier thanks to daily order limits and menu controls.

How we did it

Mapped her real WhatsApp / Instagram / transfer flow—and what breaks under volume.

Brand-first UI (script wordmark, warm cream/rose) so it feels like Batter & Bliss, not a generic food app.

Customer + admin built in parallel; capacity, fees, packing slips, and payments treated as core features.

Soft launch; iterated packing UX, box-card copy, and delivery tracking from live kitchen feedback.

Before EtherHQ, every order lived in chaos—missed chats, muddled customizations, and delivery details buried across apps. I was burning out before I even stepped into the kitchen. Now the whole operation runs from one place, and Batter & Bliss finally feels as premium online as it does in the box.
